So…. how are you? All’s good here…just busy. Some days I can’t think of what to tell you, but luckily I have some stuff saved up!
Months ago on PBS’s New York Arts I taped a show about Ballet Hispanico in New York City. It was founded in 1970 by National Medal of Arts recipient Tina Ramirez…And still thrives today with a full calendar of performance, training and community activities. The show I watched was excellent and the spokesperson was eloquent. He said, “ Dance is another language. It breaks down barriers.” If we can take our hands out of our pockets and reach out, there’s no telling how much we can learn about each other! ( And how much fun we can have together!”
Community Engagement Director Natalia Mesa says, “We are working relentlessly….to build meaningful ways of interaction, create new channels of expression, and expose the arts field as a beacon of resilience during this unprecedented time.”
Whether you are watching or joining in the dance it can be UP – Lifting! ( Any Dirty Dancing fans out there?)
Ciao for now! Patty ✌️???
